Learning to be present includes learning to bear our more difficult feelings.

Presence is present with all aspects of our human experience.
There is no judgement or comparison in presence. Just being.
We don’t have to like it. For sure being human can be extraordinarily challenging at times.
And yet presence is present within the discomfort and with the dislike. Just like a loving parent to their child. There is understanding and a place for it all.
All is included.
May we learn to be that way with our vulnerable selves.

Life is grace, constantly unfolding.

Whether we recognise a moment as grace or not, it is.

A spiritual teacher I like called Adyashanti talks about grace in the most wonderful ways in his book ’The Most Important Thing’. He explores the many different forms grace can take.. and how even the most challenging experiences we can have are a form of grace.

This moment now is grace. The presence of being is grace. Life is grace. We just need to wake up to it and come into conscious participation.

Meditation is not to change or control your experience, but to fully show up in presence and awareness with your experience.

If we go into our meditation trying to change our feelings, we are already in a place of resistance and rejection with ourselves.

However when we are willing to deeply allow and be with our feelings with loving awareness, our heart can receive the message that all of our humanity is allowed, accepted and supported to move through. This heals and naturally facilitates release.
